Karin Mallett
is thrilled to be back home and working in the Northeast. A New Jersey
native, Karin began her broadcasting career after graduating from New
York University.
Her first job in the business was as a news writer and producer for
CNBC’s award-winning program “Steals & Deals”. After years behind the
scenes, Karin took a turn on the air as a correspondent for the cable
network’s newsmagazine “Great Stuff” and never looked back.
Karin’s next adventure led her to the South. As a reporter and anchor
for WPDE-TV in Myrtle Beach, SC, she covered everything from hurricanes
to Harley rallies. She was the first in the state to report the arrival
of casino boats on the Carolina coastline. Karin also led an
investigative series on hotel and restaurant inspections.
As a college student, Karin traveled to the Middle East as part of the
America-Israel Young Journalists Program.
In her free time, Karin enjoys spending time with her family and
vacationing with friends.
