Coroner Links One More Death to Bad Heroin

Three deaths in Berks County are now officially linked to a deadly cocktail of drugs.

The Berks County coroner says Fentanyl -- a prescription painkiller usually given to cancer patients -- was present in three recent cocaine and heroin deaths.

One was confirmed earlier this month and two more today.

The coroner says illegal drugs are bad enough, but mixing in Fentanyl is a recipe for disaster.

It is approximately 70 percent more potent than just using the regular heroin or cocaine.

That's what makes it so dangerous.

And then your body just can't take it and your heart can't take it and you just start shutting down.

The coroner says tests are still pending on two other suspected Fentanyl-related drug deaths in Berks County.
