Local Flavor: Villa Richard
We're heading to a historical gem in Riegelsville, Bucks County, for this week's Local Flavor. Villa Richard is a restaurant and bed and breakfast on Route 611. It was founded in 1963, although the mansion dates back to 1895, when it was known as Glacial Drift because of the large deposits of rocks left behind from the glacial period. We're told notables like Thomas Edison, Henry Ford, and Theodore Roosevelt were visitors. Now Villa Richard serves up Italian and French cuisine to patrons looking for an upscale experience. >> CHRIS DEVALERIO: We pay special attention not to push our customers out. We don't turn many tables here. Our dining room has only 7 tables, so it's pretty intimate for our guests.
The menu changes from week to week. And actually there are no written menus. The owner describes the choices to diners.
