Neighbors React To Tragic Crash That Killed Mom, Kids
Friends and neighbors are coming to grips with the tragic accident that killed a Lancaster County woman and her two little girls. The crash happened Tuesday on Route 625 in Brecknock Township, Berks County. WFMZ's Dwayne Parker has the story.

[ 8/25/09 REPORT: Woman, Two Children Killed In Fiery Crash With Tractor Trailer ]
[ 8/26/09 REPORT: Family React To Crash That Killed Mom, Three Kids]
>> BEN HURST: She was the sweetest little kid you could have ever met, yeah, she'll definitely be missed.

>> REPORTER: Ben Hurst learned this morning that his little neighbor won't be coming home. 4-year-old Jenesse Navedo died in the hospital after the car she was in collided with a tractor trailer on Route 625 in Brecknock Township, Tuesday Evening. In the car with Jenesse was her twelve week old sister, Evaniece Navedo, who also died in the hospital. The girls' mother, who was driving the car, 25-year-old Yahaira Navedo, died on the scene. The driver of the tractor trailer was not injured, but told authorities that the mother appeared to be reaching into the back seat when her car veered out of her lane. Sal Russo, owner of Musso's, says his son ran to get the restaurant's fire extinguishers to help put out the flames.

>> SAL RUSSO: We'll that's the least we could have done, you know in a situation like that, you know.

>> REPORTER: Janesse's neighborhood of Terre Hill is in shock. The Hurst brothers remember when the 4-year-old would come over to play with their two labradors.

>> BEN HURST: At first she was always kind of scared of them. They were about as big as she is. But after awhile, she was just such a sweet girl. She would love coming over giving the dogs a hug and throwing the ball for them

>> NIC HURST: It was nice having them and it was fun to see her come over to see her smile and giggle and stuff with the dogs.
