40 Days Of Life Protest In Phillipsburg
This weekend, dozens of pro life protestors stood outside an abortion clinic in Phillipsburg, praying for an end to abortion. It's part of the international 40 days for life campaign. WFMZ's Jackie Shutack has the story.

REPORTER: Singing and praying on South Main Street in Phillipsburg, at least three dozen pro life supporters spoke out Saturday afternoon. >> JOAN FASANELLO/DIRECTOR 40 DAYS FOR LIFE PHILLIPSBURG: "We're praying for the end of abortion. We're also celebrating so many beautiful babies lives." >> REPORTER: They're participating in the 40 days for life campaign, happening internationally, in over 200 cities. Praying in front of abortion clinics, these protestors stand in front of the American Women's services clinic in Phillipsburg. >> JOE KAPP/PRO LIFE: "You know there's 100 behind you or thousands behind you around the country all on the same channel working together and it really is empowering." >> NATALIE WOODRUFF/PRO LIFE: "We're just here to pray for the souls too to support the women who have had abortions." "Women have rights!" >> REPORTER: A lone pro choice supporter stood in front of the clinic. A clinic employee, who did not want to be identified, spoke to us on the phone. >> MOBILE OFFICE MANAGER, AMERICAN WOMEN'S CENTER: "I've come in contact with a lot of them, the way I feel is if you don't bother me, and if you don't bother the patients, then that's fine, you do what you believe in." >> REPORTER: Back across the street, the protestors hope their voices resonate within the community. >> JOAN FASANELLO/DIRECTOR 40 DAYS FOR LIFE PHILLIPSBURG: "So that no woman feels it's her only choice. I firmly have seen over the years and believe that when women are given real alternatives, for support and health, they don't choose abortion, they choose life." >> REPORTER: An emotional issue, for everyone involved. In Phillipsburg, Jackie Shutack, 69 News.
