Man Accused Of Propositioning Daughter On Facebook

Authorities have charged a Lancaster County man with propositioning his own 13-year-old daughter on the Internet. Attorney General Tom Corbett says John Forehand, 39, of Lititz, went onto Facebook using the name "Bad Daddy" to locate the girl, with whom he had no contact for about 10 years.[ NEWS RELEASE ]
Authorities say Forehand proposed a meeting earlier this month and described sex acts in graphic detail. Corbett says the girl told her mother, who contacted police. Forehand was arrested Wednesday at the arranged meeting place. Officials say they found a camera, tripod, and an unopened box of condoms in his car. They also seized a digital camera, camcorder, computers, and data storage devices from his home. Forehand is charged with unlawful contact with a minor, criminal attempted incest, and unlawful contact with a minor. He is being held in the Lancaster County Prison on $400,000 bail.
Corbett says four other men were also arrested in the recent round-up of alleged Internet predators. They include Timothy Anderson, 42, of Lancaster and Timothy Gehres, 22, of Donaldson, Schuylkill County.
Authorities say Anderson, a self-employed computer salesman, used text messages to sexually proposition a 14-year-old Lancaster County girl after finding her cell phone number on the MySpace social networking website. They say the girl alerted her parents about the suspicious messages and her parents then contacted police. State troopers arrested Anderson when he arrived at a prearranged meeting location in Ephrata on September 11. At the time of his arrest, they say Anderson was carrying condoms and an all-day bus pass that he has promised to buy for the girl so they could both return to his house in Lancaster. He is charged with one count of unlawful contact with a minor, one count of unlawful contact with a minor, and one count of criminal use of a computer. He is free on $100,000 bail.
Authorities say Gehres, a paralegal, used Internet chat rooms to approach two agents who were using the undercover identities of 13-year-old girls from Harrisburg and Pittsburgh. According to the criminal complaint, Gehres sent several webcam videos that showed him nude and engaging in sexual activity in front of his computer. Gehres also repeatedly urged the girls to meet him for sex. Gehres was arrested on September 23. He is charged with ten counts of unlawful contact with a minor and one count of criminal use of a computer. He's in the Schuylkill County Prison on $50,000 bail.
