10/28/09 REPORT: Weather, Traffic Guys Place Wager On World Series ]>> REPORTER: Phillies-Yankees, a rematch 59 years in the making. A rematch these fans want to see in person. So they spent much of the day waiting in line outside Yankees Stadium to get tickets.
>> I'm a New Yorker and I've never been to the World Series. I've never been inside a game like that.
>> REPORTER: Fans came from all over. This group made the trip to New York from South Carolina.
>> It's exciting to be here. They opened the new stadium. It'll be electric in that place tonight.
>> REPORTER: This guy arrived two days ago from Mexico to see his beloved Yankees in Game 1.
>> I want to see the Yankees win.
>> REPORTER: While most of the fans we found were all about the Yankees. Kevin Sica and his 16-year-old daughter Amanda bleed Phillies red. They came up from Quakertown and say they have tickets to six of the 7 potential World Series games.
>> We're excited. We're hoping for a victory by Lee.. a complete game. Hopefully a shut out.. and put these Yankee fas in their place.
>> What does it mean to you to be here tonight at game 1 against the Yankees?
>> Well, I went last year. It's something fun to do with my dad. Something that we do together.
