County Strives For Goal Of Flu-Free Voting
You may have noticed some polling places are doing things a little differently this year. That's so voters who cast their ballots don't end up catching something else.

>> REPORTER: The path to polling stations are propped with last minute political propaganda. Once inside.. at least in Bucks County..a last minute health care effort can be seen too.

>> ROBERT: Did you use the hand sanitizer? No I did not.

>> REPORTER: To combat the growing fear of the swine flu.. Bucks county is hoping the majority of voters do the opposite of Robert Schulberger.. and instead follow the hands of Kathryn Grimes.

>> KATHRYN: I think a good idea. There is a lot of touch machines and we don't want to have something on our hands when we touch other people.

>> REPORTER: Over 300 sanitizer bottles have been bought and placed at every polling station in the county. But 80 year old Joan Paras is old fashioned and prefers her gloves over modern technology.

>> JOAN: Are you worried flu or swine flu? No. I got my flu shot.

>> REPORTER: Quakertown pollsters we spoke with say the majority of voters are passing on the sanitizing press... But voting official Lisa Burke isn't.

>> LISA: Since I touch the pens coming back I look longingly and say I should be using that.

>> REPORTER: There may be a reason for all this sanitizer madness. The polling crew just wiped the touch screen on the voting machine. This is what came up.

>> REPORTER: To our surprise Quakertown nurse Sandy Nocella was heading out the door squirt free.. before we informed her of the hand sanitizer.

>> SANDY: Sandy-Excuse me. Bo-If we save your life will you give me full credit? Sandy-Of course.

>> REPORTER: Red or blue, Bucks County wants all voters to cast a healthy ballot.
