Allentown Mayor, Lehigh Co. Executive Win Second Terms
Allentown Mayor Ed Pawlowski and Lehigh County Executive Don Cunningham both won their respective elections to a second term in office. Pawlowski, a 42-year-old Democrat, defeated his Republican opponent, Tony Phillips, by about a three-to-one margin.[

In a live interview with WFMZ's Bo Koltnow after 69 News declared him the winner, Pawlowski thanked the voters for giving him another four years to serve the city as mayor.Phillips, who retired in 2004 after 21 years as a city police officer, told WFMZ's Joscelyn Moes that he'll finish out his term on Allentown City Council. He said, after that, he doesn't know what he'll do.
The race for Lehigh County Executive race was much closer. Cunningham, a Democrat, defeated his Republican opponent, Scott Ott, by fewer than 1,000 votes in the unofficial tally.
