Reading Phillies Add To On-Field Look For 2010 Season

The Reading Phillies today unveiled four more items in their on-field line-up of player uniforms and caps. The jersey and three caps will be worn by R-Phils players during the upcoming season. They'll also be available for fans who want to sport the same look.[ WEB LINK: ( New On-Field Uniform Line-Up ) ]
"The logo on these caps is what's really going to make these popular items," said Rob Hackash, director of media relations. "The Reading "R" star logo on these caps is sort of a window to an American flag, which we think is going to go great with America's Classic Ballpark and the distinction that our stadium received last year as being one of the top parks in the country. This hat is just a neat way to celebrate it for fans in the stands and also for the players on the field."
One of the caps will be worn as a home batting practice cap. The other will be worn as an alternate cap with the navy blue jersey that was introduced two years ago.
The other two new items -- a gray jersey with the Reading script logo and a red cap with the "R" train logo -- will be worn together.
