Man Killed, Another Hurt In Shooting At Apartment Complex
Police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and sent another to the hospital. They tell 69 News they responded to the report of shots fired at Building 29 of the Wyomissing Garden Apartment complex in the 1100 block of East Wyomissing Boulevard in Reading around 3:30 this morning.
The first officers on the scene found the body of a man dressed in black and wearing a mask. They say he died of an apparent gunshot wound.

Around the same time, police say they got a call from Reading Hospital about a resident of the apartment complex showing up there with a gunshot wound. They say he was rushed into surgery. Investigators say they're now waiting to interview him. They've also circulated a letter to residents of the apartment complex seeking information about what happened.

Police believe the man at the hospital drove himself there. They have since towed the car to police headquarters so that it can be searched for evidence. Police also found eight shell casings in the doorway of the apartment building, according to Captain Fran Drexler, Reading Police Department. He says the man who died was found in the grass right outside the door.

Police have not released the names of the victims or commented on the circumstances that led to the shooting.
