Neighbors Battle Over World Series
The World Series has been over for two days. But one Bethlehem neighborhood is keeping the rivalry alive in the friendliest of ways. WFMZ's Stephanie Esposito reports.

>>REPORTER: Tom and Shelly Newell bleed blue so when they found Philadelphia red on their scarecrow...

>> you better not mess with a Yankee fan, because when you play with the bull you get the horn.

>>REPORTER: Considering the careful way in which the handcrafted logo was placed on their scarecrow, Tom suggested a tiny culprit. .

>> I got home and I wrote Phillies and colored it in and put it on there.

>>  the little girl next door finally fessed up to it.

>> I think Tom was still at work and I don't know where Shelly was her car wasn't here. So I came over and put it on.

>>REPORTER: 10 year old Allison Hontz didn't like her neighbors Yankee themed scarecrow....so she spruced him up a bit.

>>REPORTER:The feud started with this tiny little Phillies logo and ended with this...a giant Yankees projection....

>> We're not mean spirited. we have more resources than the neighbor kids because they're 10.

>>REPORTER: They set up a laptop and a projector... a little bit of Sinatra.... and used the entire side of Allison's house to get even.

>>  They've already got in my window several times to try to block that.

>>REPORTER: The Hontz kids painted a Phillies P in the window to block the projector... but the Newells say they're hoping to leave up their logo as long as possible.

>>  Weren't you thinking 27 days? I was thinking 27 days. One for each time they've won the world series.

>>REPORTER: Both families agree, it's all about competition and good sportsmanship.

>>  it's a pleasure living next door to the Hontz's.

>> They're good neighbors
