Hollywood Comes to Royersford
At least for a day Royersford, P-A looks more like L-A.  The typically quiet Montgomery County community is serving as a backdrop for a big- budget Hollywood movie. WFMZ's Joscelyn Moes visited the set and has the story.  Right now in Royersford it's all about lights, camera, and action.
Nikki Mazero A major motion picture being filmed right outside your door is definitely a once in a lifetime thing.
This stretch of Main Street has been made over for "The Lovely Bones" ... directed by Peter Jackson ... from Lord of the Rings fame.
Claire Raskind It looked a little bit 1970's ... when the story is set ... when we got here but we made it look even more authentic.
Movie crews added signs and redecorated store fronts. Now glimpses of the past can be seen around every corner.

But it's the glimpses of the present that are attracting the most attention.
With production equipment like this filling the streets this hometown has been turned into tinseltown.
Yesterday and today ... spectators gathered hoping to spot some of the movie's stars
Rob Lawson We have a front row seat here ... pretty much.
Rob Lawson Mark Wahlberg actually came up the street last night and it was neat he talked to the people.
Today we spied Peter Jackson on the set before filming began.
Michael Leonard I think for the Borough overall it's really a good thing.
And now that Hollywood is here ... people can't wait to see what their town will look like on the big screen.
Nikki Mazero Absolutely I'm gonna go see the movie. I'll be the person that goes that's my building.
"The Lovely Bones" is due out in early 2009. So let the movie magic begin. In Royersford, Montgomery County ... Joscelyn Moes ... 69 News.

The Lovely Bones is the third major motion picture filmed in the area this year.

M. Night Shyamalan filmed "The Happening" in Phoenixville back in August.

That flick also stars Mark Wahlberg.

And parts of "Our Lady of Victory" were filmed in Pottstown back in June.
