U.S. Rep. Murphy Joins Postal Protest

Postal workers in Philadelphia don't want their jobs outsourced, and a local Congressman is helping out. Pennsylvania Congressman Patrick Murphy stood with local postal workers today outside of the Philadelphia Bulk Mail Facility. Murphy was joined by dozens of other workers and their families in the demonstration today to protest the possible privatization of Bulk Mail postal service jobs. Murphy believes that if these jobs are out-sourced to sub-contractors, consumers will pay higher prices for postage and workers will have to take lower paying jobs elsewhere.
