Things Looking Up as Produce Prices Go Down
A trip to the grocery store will still cost you. But things are looking up, as produce prices go down. WFMZ's Joscelyn Moes has more from the Valley Farm Market in Allentown.

Reporter As you head down the aisles of orange, red and yellow, you could be saving more green.
Reporter and I'm not talking about that kind of green.
Erv Schummer Prices have come down somewhat.
Reporter Much of the produce at Valley Farm Market comes from California. The market says the savings can be attributed to lower shipping costs, which in turn, can be attributed to lower fuel costs.
Reporter Customers we talked with haven't noticed a drastic...drop.
MOS I can't see any change.
I think it's the same.
MOS They've been up and down.
Reporter Although today this customer did notice more, down.
Sometimes the bananas are 69 cents. I see today they're 49.
Reporter The market says the changes are slight but... take a stalk of celery for example.
Erv Schummer The difference in the cost of freight from 3 weeks ago to this week is about 10 cents.
Reporter Customers hope the prices continue to go down, as they bag up.
Reporter Their produce.
As for other grocery stores in the area, Redner's says their produce prices are down about 10%. Wegman's also says their produce prices have dropped, in part because of lower shipping costs. Live in Allentown, Joscelyn Moes, 69 News.
