Shoppers recently have a wary eye on pistachios after the news that some of the nuts tested positive for salmonella. The latest outbreak comes about one month after peanut butter was associated with a salmonella outbreak that sickened hundreds and caused five known deaths. What do these outbreaks say, if anything, about how are food safety system works? Dr. Marla Gold, Dean of Drexel University's School of Public Health, stopped by 69 News at Sunrise Thursday to explain.
