One Tank Trip: The Hershey Story
We know chocolate in Pennsylvania. And now the story behind one of the biggest names in the industry comes to life in a new museum on Chocolate Avenue. WFMZ's Karin Mallett takes us to The Hershey Story in her latest One Tank Trip.

Life would certainly be less delicious without the man behind the goodness. In the heart of chocolate world is The Hershey Story, a new museum dedicated to the life and times of Milton Hershey.

>> DON PAPSON: People are moved and touched by this story in ways that we couldn't even have envisioned.

>> REPORTER: The story starts at the beginning from Mr. Hershey's failures to his fortune.. revealing his perseverance and enormous generosity. There's a lot to learn here and it's not just from afar. High tech kiosks around every corner provide a truly hands on experience. You'll be making chocolate kisses.. designing your own wrapper and mapping out your next trip in no time.

>> PAPSON: So all those things really help to bring the museum and the Hershey story to life.

>> REPORTER: If you'd like to get your hands dirty.. grab a lab coat and a hair net. In the Chocolate Lab.. there are classes on chocolate history, chocolate geography.. even choconomics.

>> LINDA STUART: As far as we know, we are the only chocolate lab in the whole United States.

>> REPORTER: And you won't leave empty handed. >>STUART: People say well you can get tired of it.. I never do.

>> REPORTER: Tired of chocolate? Impossible. I never met a chocolate I didn't like so when you've worked up an appetite, you can make your way down to Cafe Zooka and the chocolate tasting bar. Bottoms up! >>PAPSON: Everything about the museum is geared to Mr. Hershey's story and of course at the center of that is chocolate.

>> REPORTER: At the chocolate tasting a tray of warm drinking chocolate from 6 regions around the world has my name on it.

>> PAPSON: We're going to have Karin taste Mexico.

>> REPORTER: And Ecuador.. Madagascar.. you get the idea.. Settling into my chocolate coma.. on a One Tank Trip to The Hershey Story, Karin Mallett 69 News Berks Edition.
