Heavy Rain Expected to Pummel Region Through Friday Evening
It will be a fairly wet Friday across the area with periods of rain which will be heavy at times into the late afternoon and early evening hours.  A Flood Watch is in effect for the area (except the Poconos and Schuylkill county) until the evening hours.  As the storm moves through we can expect a general 1-2” of rain with locally higher amounts before the rain comes to an end this evening.  The weekend looks mostly dry, but we could see a shower or two tomorrow as a disturbance moves through.  Mother’s Day look to be dry during the day with rain returning at night.  Highs over the weekend will be in the 60s.
